The first rule to looking slim in clothes is to buy your size.
- Clothes that are to tight will show every flaw and im sure we have all seen those ladies that wear clothes that are to tight (just not a prett sight). And clothing that are to baggy will make you look bigger than you are, that is why it is so important to buy clothes that are your size because they won't only fit right, but they will be very flattering to the boddy.
- Stay away from box clothing, stiff, straight box fabrics cuts make people look bigger.
- Avoid clingy clothes. Thight material will cling to your boddy and show every roll and fold you have, and trust me we dont want that. To look slimmer you need to draw attention away from excess fat.
- Definitely introduce a little black into your wardrobe. Black just has that slimming effect. But don't over do it , to much black can easily create a depressing look. Best idea is just to pair it with other colours.
- Bold colours and patterns distract the eye and camourflage your outline, causing the observer to notice the outfit instead of your size.
- Monochromic colour schemes are like large blocks of solid colours they draw the eye up and down rather than side to side.
- Stock up on v necks, you just have to, and avoid cew and boat necks they make shoulders and bust look wider.
- Vertical details create the illusion of slenderness like pinstripes, pleats, and vertical zippers.
- A line knee - length skirts are fitted at the hip and upper thight but flare out toward the knee, and that creates a balance look.
- Oh and one more thing avoid placing details over your problem areas. xoxo
